
Last night I cooked dinner. I roasted asparagus and made the very fatty coconut curry red lentil soup from Sarah Kramer's La Dolce Vegan. Unlike Matt, I generally need recipes to cook and had my eye on making this soup for awhile. In fact, I tend to accumulate the ingredients but never make anything. So I finally got to open the jar of curry paste I bought months ago and use some of the red lentils I collect. Also made a big salad. Anyway, it looks like Sarah Kramer's book tour is bringing her to DC and I'm excited. I really like her new cookbook Vegan A Go-Go and have already traveled with it. The section about her mugging and being safe when traveling was especially moving.


That all looks very nice. Asparagus is the best!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing such good things about La Dolce Vegan. Thanks for posting on that fabulous looking soup. I really like seeing pics of things and hearing about them. Helps me figure out what to make / which cookbooks to get.
ReplyDeleteLa Dolce Vegan is a great cookbook, very approachable and easy to use. I've had to buy several copies now because I keep giving them away to friends and relatives. The cookie recipes are all sure-fire, especially nice around the holiday season.
